Students of Smt. S. P. Kothari College of Secondary Education and Shri D. D. Choksi College of Secondary Education celebrated Independence Day of India in Vadil Vishranti Gruh with patriotism. This auspicious day was celebrated along with Rakshabandhan celebration. Rakhi festival is not a ritual custom and tradition that can change over time but its style of celebration has become contemporary. Students knot the beautiful handmade Rakhis to the senior citizens and got their blessings. Mr. Chandrakant Joshi, the manager of Vadil Vishranti Gruh told in brief about the old age home. Students learnt more about to life sharing and caring. The senior citizens were very lonely and carving for love and affections. Students spoke to them, shared love and sang songs for them. The senior citizens shared their sadness and personal stories with us. Dr. Neelu Ghosh, Principal of Shri D. D. Choksi College of Secondary Education greeted the senior citizens with her auspicious speech. Senior Citizens shared their valuable experiences with trainees. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs. Arpana Tripathi, Incharge Principal of Smt. S. P. Kothari college of Secondary Education. All the student-teachers left with a heavy heart from there.
