The admission process in Smt. S.P.Kothari College of Secondary Education was completed by 8 December 2020 but  Covid -19 has forced the colleges across India , and the world indeed to suspend the physical classes and shift to online classes. But as per the Government of India guidelines for opening the colleges for the convenience of the students Smt. S.P.Kothari College of Secondary Education was opened on January 2021 students were instructed come to the College  following Covid-19 safety standards along with the submission of a “No Objection Certificate”duly signed by student/parent/ guardian .

After the commencement of the college finally the student council was elected democraticallybefore a day that is January 20, 2021 the election process was held in which the students were the one to choose their representative followed by a formal ceremony of Oath taking  which was held on Thursday ,21 January 2021 conferring the authority and responsibility to the office bearers and other representatives of various Committees for the smooth functioning of the college. The Incharge Principal, Mrs. Arpana Tripathi , in her address congratulated the elected office bearers and advised them to take up their duties sincerity and with full commitment and uphold the values of college with proper teamwork and leadership quality and administered the oath of secrecy to the newly elected office bearers Mr.Krishnakant as General Secretary (G.S) and Ms. Kiran Choudhary as Ladies Representative(L.R)  followed by the oath of committee incharges and NSS Volunteers. The ceremony was graced by presence of all the faculty members .The program was conducted by Ms. Shabnam Saiyed and Ms. Ayarin Isuf proposed the vote of thanks.
